Interested in free industry training at Animal Logic?
Longstanding UNSW Art & Design industry collaborator Animal Logic plans to run another session of its popular ‘Set!’ Matchmove Training Course. As part of Animal Logic’s commitment to its ‘Set!’ development program, which focuses on developing craft skills within and for the industry, the course will be free of charge for all participants.
It’s a great way to seed talent for future projects and will suit individuals who aspire to eventually become Compositors or work as Digital Artists in VFX. The kind of candidates they look for would have a demonstrable interest in visual effects, though you don’t have to be an expert in Maya or Nuke to be considered. You may simply show work done in Photoshop or After Effects. A good eye for detail, an interest in cameras and cinematography, and a reasonably technical capacity are the main things they will look for.
This full time session is scheduled to run Monday to Friday each week from Monday 7 November to Friday 25 November (3 weeks). The training will take place at Animal Logic’s Sydney studio in Fox Studios, Moore Park.
The course does not guarantee employment.
