The Australia Council is partnering with the Kyoto Arts Center to offer a residential exchange program for Australian and Japanese artists.
In this pilot year, an Australian visual artist will undertake a two-month studio residency at the Kyoto Art Center, with accommodation at Kyoto artist-run space, Anewal. Anewal is an established residency provider, with traditional village-style accommodation for residents.
Expressions of interest (EOIs) are now open for Australian artists to apply for the Kyoto Art Center residency, for two months in July – October 2018.
One Australian artist will be selected and awarded a $7,500 grant as living and travel allowance.
Expressions of Interest due 17 October.
