Dive deeper into the queerly divine cosmos with MYSDIX (Angela Dix) and Micha Couell and receive a tarot / astrology reading at Eulogy for the Dyke Bar.
The readings will be centred around the current sky with the crescent moon in Aries, as well as Venus and Jupiter, offering insight into when to take action in your life and incorporating themes of love and abundance.
Bring your birth details (time of birth/date/location) and sign up for a 10-minute individual reading on arrival.
MYSDIX (Angela Dix) is not your typical tarot reader; her spiritual work is in the bars, streets, and underbelly of the city. She believes that tarot chooses you and comes with a huge responsibility. It has to do with the meaning of the cards, but also it is strongly about listening to the guides. The preparation and work that goes into keeping that ever-evolving connection healthy and clear takes devotion.
Micha Couell is a queer Eora (Sydney) based astrologer, peer educator, and interdisciplinary artist. Her astrology practice is rooted in the Hellenistic tradition, and through working with community she’s developed her trauma-informed and person-centred lens. She takes her clients’ lives and charts seriously, while bringing playfulness, gentleness, intuition and her signature Aquarius rising zaniness to each reading. Micha believes that the celestial bodies are her spirit guides, and she acts as a conduit to affirm and guide her clients to heal, manifest, and live their life’s purpose through the birth chart. @michareadsstars

Presented by UNSW Galleries, the National Art School and Sydney WorldPride, Eulogy for the Dyke Bar is a sculptural environment and memorial to bygone dyke bars. The installation incorporates a café and operating bar, and functions as an active community space for performances, cruising, socialising, and contemplating the future of queer spaces.
This project aims to reclaim the term ‘dyke’ in its most expansive sense and recognises that gender and identities are complex and fluid. Anyone who identifies with, or feels an allyship with, the dyke part of the queer spectrum is welcome and valued at the dyke bar.
