Russell Storer (Bachelor of Art Theory) has been appointed Senior Curator at the new National Gallery Singapore, which will open in November 2015.

Storer will leave his position as Curator of Contemporary Asian Art at the Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) to take up the role. In his role at QAGOMA he was an integral part of the curatorial team for the 6th and 7th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art and in 2013, he curated Cai Guo-Qiang: Falling Back to Earth.

The new National Gallery Singapore will have a focus on the art of Southeast Asia and Singapore, an area of specialty for Russell.
